Senior Financial Analyst, NACF, ARS
About the role
Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to be a trusted finance partner for operational and functional leaders within the US Amazon Robotics Sortable Network. Amazon operates the most complex retail networks in the world, delivering billions of packages to hundreds of millions of homes and businesses annually. This role will focus on the inputs, think like an owner, and drive operational and financial excellence.
Success in role
- Proactively identify opportunities to decrease cost and/or improve customer and employee experience.
- Leverage appropriate resources to deep dive and make recommendations that influence leaders.
- Formulate how to deliver improvements and execute across the entire network of fulfillment centers.
- Understand controllership and work to increase your knowledge in this area.
Responsibilities
Business Finance Support
- Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyze business problems with limited guidance.
- Draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements.
- Independently align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary.
- Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes across teams and organizations.
Controllership
- Own the financial reporting for a business area and may supervise or teach others in areas of financial reporting.
- Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards.
- Develop and execute data analysis processes that are scalable and auditable.
Communication
- Utilize active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner.
- Adjust communication style based on audience to articulate complex finance issues.
- Create effective business partnerships with Site Leaders, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events.
About the team
This role will partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, HR, and Technology. The position plays a critical role as a financial advocate and business partner, designing, developing, and maintaining performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- 3+ years of experience dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
- 3+ years of experience contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
Pay
- USA, NY, New York: $73,600.00 - $128,800.00 USD annually
- USA, TN, Nashville: $60,200.00 - $105,400.00 USD annually
- USA, TX, Irving: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue: $82,700.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
