Senior Financial Analyst - Decision Support
About the role
This role involves a variety of finance-related functions including developing pro forma work on existing and new services, updating the multi-year forecast model, and ongoing analysis of the cost accounting system and service line reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop pro formas for new and existing programs/service lines, documenting methodologies and assumptions needed to perform analysis of volumes, revenues and expenses.
- Coordinate with Strategic Planning to include demographic, utilization, market share and physician referral patterns in demand analysis.
- Develop reimbursement assumptions for impact of differences in payer reimbursement methodologies.
- Prepare sensitivity analysis and calculate net present value (NPV) and internal rates of return (IRR).
- Communicate regularly with project sponsors, managers and key customers to ensure critical issues are identified and addressed.
- Evaluate potential projects to determine if they meet existing strategic or financial objectives and present findings to Executive stakeholders.
- Prepare updates for the facility level multi-year model forecast on an annual basis, including detailed analysis and sub-schedules of projections for revenues, volumes and expenses.
- Analyze actual to projected performance and offer insights into deviations.
- Provide training to financial analysts and users of service level data.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business. MBA preferred. HFMA membership desired. Minimum of five years’ experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling, of which at least one year is in healthcare preferred. Experience with Axiom also highly desirable.

Skills
Advanced computer techniques to retrieve and analyze data, presenting results to management. Ability to coordinate with Strategic Planning and other departments to maintain consistency of budgeting across the organization. High-level understanding of decision support systems and cost accounting. Knowledge of healthcare finance and reimbursement methodologies.

Pay
Salary range: $101,816.00 - $152,734.00
Schedule
Hybrid schedule requiring weekly shifts onsite in Bellevue, Washington. Washington state residency is required.
