Senior Financial Analyst
About The Opportunity
The Senior Financial Analyst in the Facilities, Fleet, and Parks Department provides advanced financial, statistical, and budgetary analysis to support the Department’s facilities operations, capital projects, parks, and mail and print services teams. The role uses a variety of financial and project management tools to extract, analyze, and interpret data.

- Tracking and reconciling grant and project management reports

Ideal Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
- Knowledge of principles, practices, methods, and techniques of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Revenue and expenditure forecasting methods and models.
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) & GASB.
- Exercise judgment in responding to and resolving complex issues.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Analyze, organize, and interpret data from various sources, draw logical conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
- Interpret and apply Federal, State and local policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field; AND two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principle duties of this position classification;
- OR A Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field; AND four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principle duties of this position classification;
- OR An Associate's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field; AND six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principle duties of this position classification;
- OR Eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, of which at least four (4) years of this experience must be in the public sector and includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principle duties of this position classification.
About The Department/Division
The Director’s Office for the Facilities, Fleet and Parks Department has broad range of program budgets, capital improvement project funding, and grant management responsibilities. This staff will oversee support of the Director, Division Managers and internal/external stakeholders such as auditors and the County’s Finance Department staff.
