Senior Financial Analyst

We're seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a strategic business partner to leadership, helping guide financial decisions that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence. You'll play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, project financial management, performance reporting, and strategic decision-making across the business.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Trinnex leadership to provide financial insights, forecasting, and recommendations that support strategic decision-making and business growth.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning processes.
- Analyze financial and operational performance, including revenue, profitability, project margins, resource utilization, and key business metrics.
- Monitor project financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to improve business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Operations and Project Accounting teams to support revenue recognition, contract review, client billing, and financial compliance activities.
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards, KPI reporting, financial analyses, and management presentations.
- Support financial controls, process improvement initiatives, and operational efficiency efforts across the business.
- Leverage Power BI, Oracle, Excel, and other enterprise systems to enhance reporting, analytics, automation, and decision-making capabilities.
Skills & Abilities
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, project accounting, or a related financial role.
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and project financial management.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience partnering with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to influence decisions and improve performance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling expertise; Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with financial reporting, KPI development, and business performance analysis.
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Proficiency with Oracle ERP or other enterprise financial systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in SaaS, technology, digital solutions, engineering consulting, infrastructure, or project-based business environments.
- Experience supporting subscription-based, recurring revenue, or software-enabled service business models.
- Experience with Oracle EPM or other enterprise planning and forecasting solutions.
Pay
Pay range: USD $90,230.00 – $148,886.00. CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
