Senior Financial Analyst
About the role
Tennant Company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst at our global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. This role will be part of the North America Business Unit (NABU) Finance organization and will serve as a finance business partner to key stakeholders across the business. The Senior Financial Analyst will engage directly with department leaders to provide financial insights, direction, and decision support, with a focus on operating expense management, forecasting, reporting, and financial modeling. The position offers the opportunity to support a variety of functional or business areas, contributing to business-specific financial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual operating plan processes for assigned areas
- Provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis to key stakeholders across the business
- Analyze operating expenses and key business drivers to identify risks and opportunities
- Develop and deliver financial reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations
- Partner with stakeholders to understand performance trends and provide data-driven recommendations
- Contribute to the development, governance, and continuous improvement of financial reporting and planning processes
- Collaborate across teams to drive consistency in forecasting, reporting, and analytics
- Support broader NABU finance initiatives such as long-range planning, enterprise reporting, or strategic analysis
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and insight generation
- Manage and contribute to ad-hoc financial analyses and projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (4-year degree)
- 3–7 years of experience in financial analysis or related finance roles
- Strong understanding of financial and business performance metrics
- Experience with financial planning processes including forecasting and budgeting
- Experience in business analytics, financial modeling, and management reporting
- Effective communication, organization, and time management skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working with financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, OneStream, Power BI) preferred
- Global company experience preferred
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Pay
Competitive base salary range: $78,700 - $118,100. Total compensation includes base salary plus benefits.
