As a Senior Financial Analyst at Taylor Morrison, you will oversee the Division's financial policies, planning, reporting, and controls, including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury functions. You will assist in creating functional strategies and objectives for departments and develop budgets, policies, and procedures to support the infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist Division Controller with monthly analysis and internal reporting of Division financial statements, ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform reconciliations, journal entries, analysis, and reporting for assigned entities.
- Review departmental overheads as part of the month-end close process and prepare commentary for significant variances.
- Work with the land development team to discuss, establish, review, and maintain budgets.
- Assist with internal and external auditors as needed.
- Support the Division Controller in the preparation and review of the annual budget and quarterly updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting, preferably in the homebuilding, land development, and/or construction industry.
- Experience with finance and accounting systems and software.
- Knowledge of Cost Accounting, specifically related to the construction industry.
- Computer literacy, including excellent Excel skills and job cost-related software.
- Familiarity or prior experience with production homebuilding and/or land development.
- Credit report in good standing.
- Analytical, communication, and detail-oriented skills.
- Strong ethics, integrity, and ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Essential Functions
- Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule.
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device.
- Ability to engage in face-to-face conversations with customers, co-workers, and higher-level managers.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and move around the work environment as needed.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle if applicable.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
