In order to achieve this state of success, this position conducts financial, statistical, analytical and asset/liability management functions and performs complex budgetary functions. Specific Accountabilities Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external service that meets or exceeds our Service Promises.Analyze financial information and make recommendations based on best practices that are consistent with short/long term goals of the companyProvide specialized subject matter expertise in most complex budgetary and accounting functionsPerform trend analysis, modeling and what-if scenarios to assist in reaching strategic goalsAssist cost center owners with developing budgets for the organization, including assisting with share and loan projections, revenue targets, and operating expense analysisPartner with managers of the credit union on budgetary variance analysis and profitability analysis to ensure financial solvency and accountabilityProvide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendationsBuild strong alliances with cost center owners, assisting them in gaining a full understanding of financial positions of their respective areasPrepare and analyze departmental income statements utilizing cost accounting process/methodologiesAnalyze performance and profitability of deposit and loan productsApply data mining techniques to unstructured data as neededMonitor and track key performance metrics/indicators and report to management, including proactively highlighting success while identifying areas of improvement with possible alternativesConduct financial, statistical, and analytical studiesPrepare financial reports for management and boardManage special project assignments as requested Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Demonstrate analytical and financial modeling skills with ability to prepare materials and presentations that communicate meaningful data and analysisDemonstrate strong knowledge of budget planning, expense monitoring, cash flow and financial management operationsStrong analytical skills; must possess the ability to make quick decisions, strong attention to detail and commitment to tight deadlinesMust be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, with the expectation of working as a motivated and cooperative team memberMust possess a high sense of urgency, judgment and work ethicMust be able to manage multiple tasks concurrently, in a dynamic environment with tight deadlinesExcellent PC skills with a thorough knowledge of MS Excel (including macros), MS PowerPoint and MS Word with the ability to learn new software productsExperience with MS SQL and MS Access a plusWillingness and ability to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilitiesAbility to work overtime, as neededEligibility to be bonded
