Senior Financial Analyst
About the Role
Regency Centers is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our regional office in Los Angeles, CA or Long Beach, CA. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely after the training period. The role involves managing the reporting process for regional in-process developments, assisting in underwriting, financial analysis, and due diligence for acquisitions, developments, and re-developments, and providing credit analysis on potential tenants and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain financial models for in-process developments, aiding in forecasting, project management, and review, including monthly updates of MDM and DSR forecasting models.
- Underwrite prospective developments, acquisitions, and redevelopments.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.
- Prepare memoranda on projects for approval by the Real Estate Committee, Investment Committee, or the Board of Directors.
- Assist with due diligence functions related to new investments, including developments, redevelopments, acquisitions, buyout of co-investment partnerships, and dispositions.
- Prepare quarterly asset review books for in-process developments and redevelopments.
- Perform financial and credit analysis on potential tenants and vendors.
- Prepare abstracts for anchor tenant leases, PSAs, and Joint Venture Agreements, and track significant contract dates and escrow deposits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience.
- Prior commercial real estate experience strongly preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Solid foundation in retail real estate fundamentals, including:
- Ability to understand and calculate standard return metrics such as yield, profit margin, IRR, etc.
- Ability to read and understand a lease.
- Understanding of shopping center operational metrics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate level proficiency with PowerBI (or similar software).
- Experience with Argus Enterprise.

Pay
The hiring salary range for the Senior Financial Analyst position in Los Angeles / Long Beach is between $95,000 to $110,000 annually. The base salary is one component of the total rewards package, which also includes eligibility for a 10% target bonus opportunity. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
