Senior Financial Analyst
About the role
The Senior Financial Analyst at PrimeLending will focus on the financial plans of the organization to achieve its goals and objectives. This position requires strong mortgage industry experience and involves analyzing financial status, improving financial status, reconciling transactions, maintaining databases, and protecting confidential information.
Responsibilities
- Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Improves financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management
- Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data
- Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
- Performs medium and long-term tasks and more complex requests and activities
- Uses independent judgement to resolve non-routine issues escalated from junior team members
- Serves as a subject matter expert with technical knowledge and broad understanding of their field
- Influences junior team members by providing advanced understanding and guidance of the subject area
- Conveys and exchanges basic technical and factual information with colleagues, clients, and customers
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Degree preferred in relevant discipline
- Five (5) or more years proven experience in the field with or without progressive responsibilities
- Computer hardware, operating system (Windows or Mac) and software/application (MS Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook etc.) skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
