About the role
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will take ownership of key FP&A processes, ensuring operational plans align with financial goals and creating transparency for data-driven decisions. This role offers deep, hands-on experience at a venture-backed software firm, with exposure to the CFO and senior executives across functional groups. The position is 100% remote, anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional groups on monthly financial reporting (GAAP Revenue, Annual Recurring Revenue), cash forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Increase automation and efficiency of current processes through Excel improvements and AI productivity tools (Claude, Microsoft Copilot); drive adoption of improved financial processes through collaboration with multiple stakeholder groups.
- Participate in the long-range planning process, including creating and maintaining Precisely’s long-range model and supporting ad-hoc analyses to inform the model.
- Support the annual budget through cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment with Precisely’s financial and strategic goals.
- Work closely with business partners and executives to provide insight and guidance; develop complex financial models, including long-range or three-statement models.
- Turn financial data into actionable insights that support sound decision-making.
- Demonstrate a self-starter attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Balance multiple responsibilities with competing deadlines and drive continuous process improvement.
- Support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (equivalent work experience accepted).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant FP&A experience, including financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas and modeling techniques).
- Experience with AI productivity tools (Claude, Microsoft Copilot).
- Examples of leveraging AI tools to automate, create, or enhance processes (preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop long-range financial models or three-statement financial models.
