Senior Financial Analyst
About the role
Join NetApp and lead strategic financial partnership and analytical support for the GROE (GTM Strategy, Revenue, Offers & Enablement) and HQ Sales Operations organizations. This role focuses on worldwide consolidated OPEX planning for the GTM Sales organization and requires 3 days a week in the office at one of the following locations: San Jose, CA; Raleigh, NC; or Vienna, VA.
You will engage in forecasting, reporting, variance analysis across Sales, Marketing, Services, and Customer Success, as well as ad hoc analytics. Ideal for a finance professional with strong operating expense experience, advanced reporting capabilities, and the ability to translate financial results into clear insights for disciplined spend management, forecast accuracy, and executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead OPEX analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting; identify key cost drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities to support informed business decisions.
- Develop and maintain financial models, reporting packages, and dashboards that improve visibility into operating expenses, forecast accuracy, and performance against plan.
- Collaborate and manage daily activities with the Finance Center of Excellence and cross-functional team resources.
- Serve as a trusted finance business partner to functional leaders, communicating financial performance, spend drivers, and actionable recommendations to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including accrual review, actuals analysis, forecast comparisons, and clear explanations of variances versus plan and prior forecasts.
- Identify opportunities to streamline planning and reporting processes, enhance controls, and improve the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of OPEX reporting.
- Operate with strong ownership, attention to detail, and sound judgment while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Apply advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle Cloud, Hyperion, and related planning or reporting tools to deliver accurate analysis and scalable reporting solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Pay
The target salary range for this position is $129,200 - $175,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range.
