Senior Financial Analyst
About the role
The Senior Program Finance Analyst ensures financial acumen, accuracy, and dedicated support to the program(s) that they support. This role supports finance leadership, Program Managers, Control Account Managers (CAMs), and Schedulers to meet program objectives and provide accurate metrics on schedule and cost performance utilizing Earned Value or related program control principles.
Responsibilities
- Provides timely and accurate metrics on schedule and cost performance utilizing Earned Value or related processes.
- Supports all baseline development activities and development of charge numbers and WBS as applicable.
- Provides updates/changes as required, for programs with and without Earned Value requirements, in applicable tools (forProject or Cobra preferred).
- Provides analysis and reports on the performance variances to budget and assist with recovery plans as needed.
- Analyzes and reports risks & Opportunities to the baseline cost, schedule, and the EAC.
- Ensures timely maintenance of the Project-Activity Structure (Charge Numbers).
- Provides timely completion of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process, processing time-phased estimate to complete updates, and EAC package support for Program Financial Planning and Reporting.
- Develops and Monitors the program level time-phased plan to support an overall program level view of revenue for forecast, budget, and 5-year planning processes.
- Provides the financial data inputs, analysis, and applicable variance narrative for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business -Reviews (QBRs).
- Reviews and communicates the status of program financials, including the status on funding, and disposition of funding that is subject to cancellation.
- Oversee Financial Analyst and be backup to tasks assigned to Financial Analyst.
Requirements
Requires 7 - 10 years of related experience. Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline, Master's Degree preferred. Requires a working knowledge of related regulations and the ability to apply that working knowledge and work autonomously the majority of the time. Requires a proven expertise in using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) in daily operations. Requires knowledge of program financial controls with DoD programs. Requires knowledge of relevant federal acquisition regulations and standards such as CAS/FAR/DFARS. Requires knowledge of different contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M). Requires knowledge of relevant accounting subject matters, including revenue recognition. Requires the ability to present complex information to all levels of management. Requires excellent verbal and written communication. Requires proficient with Microsoft software applications, MS Project, EPICOR. Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving ability. Requires the ability to multi-task and is detail oriented. Requires the ability to ensure tasks are completed on time and accurate. Requires the ability to be a self-starter that is capable of working independently. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
