Senior Financial Analyst
Role Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for driving finance-driven processes specific to the IMI manufacturing environment, to include budgeting/planning, internal controls and ad hoc projects.
Work Environment
Position based in Denver, CO. Hybrid (2 days onsite/weekly)
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily management, maintenance and reporting of sales and orders for the Americas region.
- Prepare and populate the monthly actuals for IA Americas and Americas Admin, as well as entering the data into the IMI reporting tool and ensuring proper reconciliation.
- Use monthly reporting and forecast data to generate insights, trends, and raise concerns to Finance leadership.
- Act as lead for validating proper data entry by Americas sites for weekly/monthly/quarterly submissions into the IMI Reporting tool.
- Analyze manufacturing cost trends (materials, labor, overhead), identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Enhance financial processes, reporting tools, and data accuracy through automation and continuous improvement.
- Provide financial insight by acting as a strategic partner with plant managers, supply chain leaders, and operations teams.
- Consolidate and issue the monthly Sales and Profit flashes to IA Americas.
- Support in compiling the IA Americas reporting package for distribution to senior management.
- Prepare and distribute various weekly and monthly reports to all departments both internal and external.
- Responsible for various month end reconciliations.
- Proactively assist the Finance Manager with various items that support the monthly variance analysis process.
- Work with Cost Center owners within IA Americas and Americas Admin to establish budgets. Additionally, cost center performance must be reviewed monthly and actions communicated to owners.
- Under the guidance of the Finance Manager, assist with the development of the various forecast and budget presentation packages.
- Other duties as assigned.
Critical Competencies for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting/Finance from four-year College or University is required.
- 5+ years of experience with budgeting, forecasting, accounting and/or financial reporting.
- Familiar with a variety of accounting concepts and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Detail oriented with proven accuracy.
- Ability to work with confidential data; discretion is a must.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills with a persistence to resolve issues and/or provide options for solutions.
- Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, and written/oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with particular emphasis placed on proficiency in MS Excel (vlookups, nested formulas, etc.) and Access.
- Experience with JDE, Oracle, SAP or similar platform applications (and associated implementations) preferred.
- Experience with COGNOS, Hyperion or similar financial consolidating and reporting systems.
Pay Range
$80k - $95k Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
