Senior Financial Analyst
PURPOSE
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for our brand new, state-of-the-art, manufacturing facility at the Port of Little Rock. The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Finance Director-Commercial & FP&A and works closely with the Operations Management team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in tracking operations financial performance, supporting the operations team, and carrying out various financial analysis for Elopak’s newest facility.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Costing & Inventory Management:
- Establish, monitor and analyze standard costing of the facility’s production
- Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports tracking and analyzing costs and their variances vs. standard costs
- Maintain appropriate cost allocation rules
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to support the production and logistics teams in optimizing inventory levels
- Review and ensure completeness and accuracy of inventory provisions
- Ensure proper controls are in place and are adhered to regarding cycle counts and other inventory management activities
- Lead the annual inventory count for the site
- Support ad hoc requests regarding operations
Financial Accounting & Controls:
- Analyze month-end cost variances and reconcile with forecasts
- Review monthly departmental finance reports and monitor departmental performance vs budget and forecasts
- Ensure production order status is adequately maintained in SAP and perform month-end procedures for financial close
- Prepare all information for inventory cut-off
- In charge of preparing information relative to government incentives
- Analyze and generate reports on capital expenditures and provide input for budget and forecasts
Business Partner:
- Play a key financial role for the needs of the operations team and attend meetings to monitor operations
- Participate in the budget and monthly forecast process, supporting each director/manager reporting to the Little Rock Plant Manager in the preparation of their respective budgets
- Support the operations management team in controlling expenditures and explaining budget variances and general financial support
- Support the Region Americas Finance team
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to quickly identify opportunities and risks
- Support ad hoc requests
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA or CMA preferred)
US GAAP or IFRS Proficiency
5+ Years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally in the food industry) or Public Accounting with manufacturing
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Possibility of hybrid working environment, however frequent on-site presence required to adequately support operations teams
Computer proficiency of Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
Experience with SAP (strong asset)
Experience with VENA or similar FP&A tool (strong asset)
