Senior Financial Analyst
About the role
The Financial Analyst Team in Enterprise Supplier Management supports all aspects of our third party lifecycle, from negotiating high value deals to measuring the impact of our supply chain on our communities. As a Senior Financial Analyst in ESM, you will be responsible for analyzing our multi-billion dollar supply chain spend, providing clear recommendations throughout the negotiating and contracting process. Additionally, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders to develop and grow our understanding of our spend with diverse-owned businesses. You will partner across the team to execute and enhance key reporting challenges and processes, drive automation, and provide thought leadership over a wide range of topics. The role will require working with leadership, third party managers, contract managers, sourcing teams, other financial analysts, and business customers who have a wide variety of backgrounds, styles, and skill sets. This role requires strong communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:
- Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights
- Partner with stakeholders and leadership to assess the financial implications of key supplier negotiations
- Determine the impact of our supply chain on public-facing emissions and diverse supplier spend commitments
- Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to a variety of audiences
Responsibilities
- Partner with ESM and LOB customers to drive optimal pricing outcomes
- Research financial and economic trends for specific projects and suppliers, develop cost models to be used in individual area analysis and make business recommendations
- Create executive-ready presentations to communicate key findings, analysis, and recommended action
- Facilitate transparency and knowledge sharing across Supplier Categories
- Partner with ESM stakeholders on various automation efforts utilizing a variety of skills and tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, and Looker Studio
- Independently manage and prioritize workload
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis
- At least 3 years of experience with financial modeling
- At least 3 years of experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides or a combination of both
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis
- 4+ years of experience with financial modeling
- 4+ years of experience in strategic analysis and planning
- Strong learning agility; quick to pick up new concepts and implement action
- Prominent business relationship, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Demonstrated independent problem solving and strategic thinking abilities
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to positively contribute to overall success of the team
