Job Title: Senior Financial AnalystJob Description The Senior Financial Analyst provides critical financial reporting and analysis support within the Financial Reporting organization. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, supports quarterly close processes under U.S. GAAP and IFRS, and delivers clear insights that inform strategic business decisions. The position requires strong technical reporting expertise, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Accounting, Finance, Actuarial, and Business functions. Responsibilities Support IFRS quarterly close activities, including preparation, review, and submission of financial reporting deliverables.Assist with U.S. GAAP reporting, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements and related disclosures.Perform detailed financial analysis to explain results, trends, and variances, and investigate issues identified in management reporting packages and supporting materials.Prepare, review, and enhance management reporting packages to ensure they provide accurate, relevant, and timely information for decision-making.Collaborate closely with Accounting, Finance, Actuarial, and Business teams on cross-functional initiatives that impact financial reporting and analysis.Support special financial reporting projects, including new reporting requirements, system changes, and implementation of new accounting standards.Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes, enhance controls, and improve data quality.Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial reporting deliverables, adhering to established deadlines and quality standards.Provide clear explanations and documentation for financial results and reporting changes to internal stakeholders.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements as they relate to the organization’s financial reporting. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or financial analysis.Hands-on experience supporting quarterly close processes.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS reporting requirements.Proven financial analysis skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.Strong accounting and financial reporting skills, including familiarity with financial statements and supporting schedules.Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with large datasets, build complex models, and perform detailed analysis.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Additional Skills & Qualifications Insurance or financial services industry experience preferred.Experience working in a large, complex financial services organization is beneficial.Exposure to cross-functional projects involving Accounting, Finance, Actuarial, and Business teams.Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives within financial reporting or accounting.Interest in working in an environment that values innovative thinking, personal accountability, and continuous improvement. Work Environment The role follows a hybrid work model that combines in-office and remote work. Team members spend three days per week in the office, with two days worked remotely on a hybrid basis. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
