About the role

We are seeking a highly analytical and technology-driven Senior Financial Analyst – AI Investments & Capex to join our growing FP&A team. This role combines traditional financial planning and analysis responsibilities with ownership of AI-related investment analysis, technology spend management, and overall capital expenditure planning (including facilities). The ideal candidate is proactive, driven, and resourceful, with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the data. You will be a critical part of a visible cross-functional team and will help drive strategic decision making. This individual will partner closely with Finance, Technology, and Operations leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, AI investment governance, and broader capital planning.

Responsibilities

Two direct areas of coverage, including:

  • AI Investment Management: Partner with business and technology leaders to evaluate, prioritize, and monitor AI-related investments. Analyze AI-related operating costs, including token consumption, model usage, software licensing, infrastructure expenses, and third-party vendor costs.
  • Capital Planning: Support annual and long-range capital expenditure planning processes, monitor technology and AI investment budgets against approved spending plans. Develop forecasts and reporting for capital projects and strategic technology initiatives and track project performance against approved business cases and expected returns.
  • Develop business relationships with corporate leaders across the organization and partner closely with our IT/AI/Facilities/Accounting team.
  • Support monthly close process through close partnership with the accounting team.
  • Report out monthly & quarterly internal reporting for owners and senior management, including insightful analyses to explain trends and any variance to plans.
  • Identify key trends and potential risks & opportunities across the business.
  • Work cross-functionally to evaluate strategic initiatives and associated financial impacts and help incorporate them into financial plans.
  • Run ad-hoc analyses for senior management.
  • Continuously look to increase efficiency through process automation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of FP&A, Corporate Finance, Strategic Finance, Business Analytics, Technology Finance, or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Excited to lead and drive data management best practices.
  • Experience in understanding AI economics, including token-based consumption models, API pricing structures, software licensing costs, cloud infrastructure expenses, and associated financial implications.
  • Experience supporting cloud computing, software, SaaS, or technology finance environments and understand how technology investments create business value.
  • High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; role involves building strong relationships across the organization and communicating/presenting ideas clearly to management.
  • Internally motivated individual who is intellectually curious and not afraid to seek out projects independently.
  • Experience working in AI/Software/Engineering, Business Services, Advertising, Media, Technology Services, or Public Relations firm is a plus.

Pay

$90,000-$100,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.

Schedule

Real Chemistry’s workplace model is designed to foster collaboration, learning, innovation, and meaningful relationships while providing flexibility where appropriate. Work arrangements may vary by role and location:

  • For employees within a one-hour commute of a Real Chemistry office, in-person attendance is required two days per week, either from a Real Chemistry office or when working onsite with clients.
