About the role
The Senior Financial Advisor at Homestead Advisers is responsible for retaining Homestead Funds shareholders and attracting new shareholders through virtual and in-person presentations. Key responsibilities include conducting over-the-phone and in-person portfolio reviews, recommending customized asset allocation strategies, and educating clients on various investing concepts.
Responsibilities
- Retain Homestead Funds shareholders and attract new shareholders through presentations
- Conduct over-the-phone and in-person portfolio reviews and recommend customized asset allocation strategies
- Communicate with shareholders and potential shareholders via CRM system
- Present Homestead Funds information at events
- Manage competing deadlines and multiple projects
- Provide timely follow-up and customer service
- Collaborate with transfer agent, team members, and management
- Comply with policies and procedures, including regulatory and educational requirements
Requirements
- Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Experience: Six or more years of mutual fund/investment industry experience, four or more years in a senior client-facing role
- Certifications: CFP designation preferred, FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65
- Knowledge: Knowledge of securities, mutual fund industry, 401(k) pension plans, financial planning, and investments community
- Skills: Ability to manage competing deadlines, organize information, communicate clearly, and use Microsoft Office tools

Benefits
Homestead Advisers offers a competitive salary range of $126,000 - $157,000 with an incentive opportunity. Final compensation is determined by individual qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
