About the role

T. Rowe Price is a recognized leader in asset management and retirement solutions. As demand for financial advice continues to accelerate, we are deliberately growing our Advisory Services organization to better support investors and their long-term goals. This role involves implementing and developing advisory solutions for assigned clients, preparing and aiding in financial plans, staying current on market events, and contributing to the development of program upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and develops advisory solutions for assigned clients and coordinates internal resources necessary to carry out solutions.
  • Prepares and/or aids in financial plans for pre-retirees and retirees, advising in multiple areas such as asset allocation, spending and savings plans, social security strategies, and more.
  • Stays current on market events and serves as a Subject Matter Expert on various planning topics to advise and educate advisory clients and prospects.
  • Contributes suggestions for and may participate in the development of program upgrades as well as future program enhancements; may assist in rolling out new capabilities related to investment advice, financial planning, and financial education.
  • Identifies areas for improvement, evaluates existing policies, and partners with peers and management to offer suggestions for change.
  • Makes suggestions for improvements to processes and procedures.
  • Works directly with less experienced peers to determine the best approach in rectifying a client's dissatisfaction.
  • Determines the client's appetite for risk and ensures that the implemented solutions are compliant.
  • May resolve standard risk or compliance issues with the assistance of more senior staff.
  • May have limited supervisory responsibilities for a small number of advisory staff, guiding their work, providing feedback, and evaluating performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 5+ years of total relevant work experience.
  • Previous success in building relationships, uncovering needs, and recommending solutions.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66, or 63/65, licenses upon hire.
  • CFP® designation preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in financial services offering investment management.
  • Exceptional listening and presentation skills.
  • Desire to quickly learn and implement new financial tools, technologies, and conversation expectations.
  • In-depth understanding of retail investment vehicles.
  • Prior experience building and/or managing a retail client book of business.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients in relationship management and/or financial advisory capacity.

Preferred

  • FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Range

$98,500 - $146,000 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$98,500 - $146,000 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$98,500 - $146,000 for the location of: New York, California
