About the role

We’re hiring a Senior Finance Manager, Site Deployments to build and scale the financial backbone behind Nscale’s global AI compute platform.

Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role sits at the center of Finance Operations and partners closely with AI Infrastructure, engineering, accounting, and site operations teams. You will lead financial planning, cost governance, and performance analysis across site deployment and operations, helping the business understand the economics of scaling capital-intensive AI infrastructure.

This is a high-impact leadership role with visibility into critical investment and operating decisions. Your work will shape deployment prioritization, capacity planning, capital tracking, and asset utilization strategy by turning complex technical and operational inputs into clear financial insight that drives performance.

What you'll be doing

  • Financial Planning & Performance
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting across site deployment and operations.
    • Own site-level financial statements, including P&L tracking and performance analysis.
    • Develop deployment financial forecasts covering timelines, costs, and capacity ramp.
    • Build financial models for site-level performance, capacity utilization, and operating cost trends.
    • Analyze variances across site operating expenses, deployment costs, and asset-related spend, surfacing key drivers and risks.
  • Costing & Unit Economics
    • Develop and maintain bill of materials costing for site deployments to improve cost visibility and accuracy.
    • Refined site-level unit economics across deployment costs, capacity costs, and ongoing operating expenses.
    • Identify cost-efficiency opportunities across deployments, asset utilization, and maintenance activities.
    • Partner with engineering and operations teams to understand cost drivers and performance trends.
    • Support margin improvement and cost optimization initiatives through data-driven analysis.
  • Deployment Investment Support
    • Build financial models and business cases for site deployments, expansions, and capital investments.
    • Manage deployment budgets by tracking actuals versus plan and highlighting risks and variances.
    • Evaluate trade-offs across deployment strategies, capacity allocation, and prioritization.
    • Track actual performance against investment assumptions, including ROI and payback visibility.
  • Asset & Capital Management
    • Support capitalization, tracking, and lifecycle management of site-level assets.
    • Partner with accounting to ensure accurate asset classification, depreciation, and financial reporting.
    • Maintain visibility into capital spend versus budget and support forecasting of future capital requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Decision Support & Governance
    • Partner with infrastructure, engineering, and site operations teams to support financial decision-making.
    • Translate technical and operational data into clear, actionable financial insights.
    • Produce regular reporting on site-level financial performance, capital spend, deployment progress, and operating costs.
    • Establish cost tracking, asset controls, and governance processes.
    • Ensure accuracy, transparency, and consistency of financial and operational data across systems and reporting.

About You

  • 8–12+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or supply chain finance roles in high-growth or operationally complex environments.
  • Proven experience leading annual planning and quarterly forecasting cycles and owning financial outcomes across an infrastructure, operations, or cost center P&L.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and long-range planning.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain cost drivers such as procurement, freight, warehousing, inventory, and working capital.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders across operations, procurement, logistics, infrastructure, or engineering functions.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members and raising the quality and rigor of team output.
  • Strong ability to synthesize large, ambiguous datasets into clear insights and executive-level recommendations.
  • High proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, plus experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity while building scalable processes, frameworks, and financial discipline.
  • Strong communicator with a high bar for accuracy, clarity, ownership, and actionable decision support.

Salary Range
