Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Aid in the preparation of the annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Aid in the preparation of the quarterly operating forecast.
  • Affirm schedules and journal entries for grant accounting, reporting, and reimbursements.
  • Maintain oversight of department revenue and expenses, generating analyses in comparison to budget.
  • Support in maintaining reporting templates, dashboards, and input sheets utilized for budgeting and financial analysis of campus operations.
  • Create and post journal entries for transactions, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Manage the Financial Data Model (FDM) and Security Roles in Workday and Adaptive Planning.
  • Engage in project work and respond to requests from other Finance and non-Finance groups on campus.

Job requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and professionalism when interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • A comprehensive understanding of general ledger accounting.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in an accounting, financial planning and analysis, or other finance support role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Workday/Adaptive Planning is a plus, but not required.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The expectation for this role is that the selected candidate will be available to work onsite and in person. The college does allow for periodic hybrid work flexibility in accordance with the employee handbook.
