Senior Finance and Accounting Analyst
About the role
As a Senior Finance and Accounting Analyst, you will provide financial analysis, reporting to Global Fuel Manufacturing Controller. Develop and implement systems, processes, and financial models to support management. You will report to the Global Manufacturing Controller and be located at our Blairsville, PA location. This is a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the interface for site and team in reporting financial results.
- Cook inventory information with other sites to ensure consistency in reporting and forecasting.
- Provide first-level analytics to end-users on financial results and forecasts, metrics, KPIs, and ad-hoc report requests.
- Evaluate financial plans, financial forecasts, and other required updates.
- Prepare, support, and deliver presentations on site financial results.
- Prepare accounting entries with appropriate documentation and provide variance analysis of cost center spending, scrap reporting, COPQ, Capital Spending, and headcount.
- Analyze variances and develop/support improvement action recommendations.
- Monitor analysis of balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare, support, and review preparation of Monthly Operating Review and variance analysis.
- Prepare and monitor special financial reporting requests to meet our needs.
- Identify reporting opportunities based on analytical requirements from customers.
- Implement reports and ad hoc data requests to support finance and site needs.
- Provide documentation for audit requests.
- Lead the annual physical inventory and coordinate with plant operations team and external auditors.
- Reconcile monthly inventory and complete monthly inventory forecast with variance analysis.
- Prepare and update yearly Standard Costs and perform appropriate variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 4+ years of broad-based finance experience, in analytical roles.
- Knowledge of financial processes, and associated improvement programs and cost reduction processes.
- MBA or CPA or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Manufacturing/ Cost accounting experience preferred.
- SAP or ERP experience is highly desirable.
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $76,400 to $95,500 per year.
