About the role
The Global R&D Senior Study Forecasting Analyst supports and performs financial analyses and budgetary reconciliations of Immunology clinical trial budgets. This position monitors study forecasts and manages study expenses and forecasts for Plan, LBE, LRP and Portfolio submissions. It collaboratively interfaces with the clinical teams, respective finance management, and supports ad-hoc requests and projects.
Responsibilities
- Supports all aspects of the clinical trial budget process including trial cost analysis, scenario planning, contract funding approval, and study budget management through the study life-cycle.
- Gathers data from a variety of sources and provides quality clinical study budget information and metrics to Clinical and Finance Management to aid in planning decisions.
- Prepares predefined and ad hoc reports for the clinical teams and finance management, communicates on a timely basis for variance discrepancies and issue resolution.
- Supports the business in assessing and investigating study spend vs. forecast.
- Demonstrates awareness and use of data sources by proactively updating previously established forecasts at a regular cadence (monthly LBEs, Quarterly R/OSS reviews, 50%/100% enrollment timepoints, annual cost validation), and update manager as to the status of the study being forecasted (startup, Main R/OSS, reconciliation and close-out).
- Interacts with various levels of management and functions within the organization.
- Supports finance management on ad-hoc requests and projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Health sciences is required.
- Minimum of 4+ years of progressive and related experience required.
- Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to derive insights from data and distill into summarized format.
- Able to learn fast, grasp the "essence and change course quickly where indicated.
- Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish, and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility.
- Builds strong relationships with peers and cross-functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance.
- Excellent time management with respect to priorities as well as self-management skills.
- Proficient Excel skills required. Knowledge of SAP and PowerBI is a plus.
Additional Information
- Compensation range: $84,500 - $162,000 USD annually.
- Short-term incentive programs available.
