Senior Finance Analyst, Amazon Ads

About the role

Amazon Advertising seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to serve as a Finance Business Partner to its Ads Sales Go-To-Market team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute entire finance projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and financial analysis, problem solving, and clear communication of insights and recommendations
• Create financial and quantitative models necessary for evaluating products and features adoption to support strategic decision-making and long-range planning
• Build, iterate, and automate financial reports, metrics, and scorecards to support short and long-term planning while collaborating closely with Business Intelligence Engineers (BIE)
• Provide financial reporting on business performance and contribute deep-dive financial analyses and actionable insights for Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews
• Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to cross-functional leadership, translating complex data into business narratives that inform prioritization and resource allocation decisions
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Analytics, and broader Finance teams to drive automation, scalability, and process improvements
• Audit business and financial performance regularly, ensuring adherence to internal controls, and maintain team tools, SOPs, and process documentation to enable knowledge sharing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
• 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
