Senior Field Systems Associate

About the role

Responsible for the maintenance and support of Division computer systems including PC hardware, software, Microsoft operating systems, and in-house specialty applications. Support of Division drilling rig and field office computer systems which will involve trouble shooting issues related to PC hardware, software, satellite and telecommunications systems.

Responsibilities

• Support of Division computer network infrastructure, associated network hardware, telecom, backups, hardware & software inventory control
• Minor support of Unix systems
• Support of Division drilling rig and field office computer systems including troubleshooting PC hardware, software, satellite and telecommunications systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Two year technical or four year college degree in Information Systems related technology a plus
• 1+ years experience working with PC systems including hardware, software, and Microsoft operating systems support
• Knowledge of network devices (Cisco, Extreme, etc.) a plus
• 1+ years knowledge working with MS Office products including Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
• Good interpersonal working skills and ability to interface with diverse groups of people who will have varying degrees of knowledge related to utilization of computer systems and software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be willing to travel via company pool car to various remote field locations
• Must be willing to work after hours and on weekends
