Senior Field Quality Assurance Representative
Brief Summary Of This Position
This Individual Contributor role is primarily responsible for leading identification and resolution efforts as they pertain to Utility product field issues. It requires a broad understanding of the Utility product, manufacturing processes, inspection requirements, installation, and function. Additionally, this position requires proficiency in Visual (VT), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Ultrasonic (UT) NDT methods. This position routinely interacts with customers and third-party representatives and must demonstrate professionalism and the ability to work in potentially adversarial environments.
Essential Functions
- Reports to the Manager of Field Quality Assurance; no direct reports.
- Up to 80% domestic/international travel with overnight stays.
- Field problem identification and resolution.
- Manage third-party contractors and technical support.
- Perform VT, MT, and UT inspections.
- Audit products and processes.
- Maintain workplace safety and compliance.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
Other Important Details About The Role
- Determine source of quality issues and recommend remedies.
- Oversee remedies and final inspections.
- Support customer pre-production visits.
- Provide on-site support for field projects.
- Write field reports and document findings.
- Perform simple repairs independently.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree + 5 years experience, Associate degree + 7 years, or 9+ years relevant quality experience.
- 5 years metals fabrication experience including welding plus 2 years QA/QC experience.
- SNT-TC-1A VT Level II, MT Level II, UT Level II.
- AWS-CWI certification.
- NACE CIP Level 1.
- Blueprint reading, technical data interpretation, report writing, problem-solving, and MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to travel up to 80%.
Highly Qualified Candidates
- 5 years QA/QC inspector experience.
- 5 years inspection training.
- 5 years NDT experience.
- NACE CIP Level 2.

Working Environment and Physical Efforts
Work performed at field sites, manufacturing plants, and customer/vendor locations. Exposure to weather conditions and required PPE use. Physical activities include climbing, lifting, bending, kneeling, and travel up to 80% of schedule.
