About the role

As the Senior Field Applications Specialist for Leica Biosystems, you will provide in-field technical applications support for our current and next-generation range of automated instrumentation and reagents in the Core histology lab. You will help achieve Leica regional sales and profitability goals within your assigned territory. This position reports to the Field Application Manager and is part of the Field Applications team located in South Florida, with a field-based and remote work arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Support Leica in achieving sales goals monthly, quarterly, and annually for Instrumentation and Consumables within the relevant product line.
  • Perform basic installation, evaluations, qualification, and optimization for instrumentation sold and evaluated in the region, with supervision or mentorship.
  • Investigate technical applications while collaborating with Technical Service, Applications Technical Lead, Applications Manager, and Global Business Units.
  • Respond to and document PMDRs (Post-Market Device Reports) on instrumentation, working with the Business Unit and customers on appropriate follow-up training, with supervision or mentorship.
  • Conduct in-field post-purchase applications support and training for customers.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree with 1-3 years of Histology laboratory experience in a clinical, research, or industrial setting.
  • Understanding of the Product-relevant Histology marketplace or a related discipline.
  • HT/HTL certification.
  • Ability to travel 75% within the territory.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.

Work Arrangement

This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement, allowing you to work remotely from your home in South Florida.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $85,000.00 - $115,000.00. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
