Senior Fashion Designer

About the role

Our client is a premium wholesale denim and streetwear brand born with the energy of New York City. They create versatile, well-crafted pieces built for real life and bold enough to go anywhere. As a Senior Fashion Designer specializing in women's streetwear, you will work closely with the Design Director and be responsible for creating cohesive collections from concept to final production. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for fashion, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams.

Location: Ridgefield, New Jersey

Responsibilities

• Create CAD sketches, graphics, embellishment layouts, and technical packages using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Develop and maintain brand-right commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction and business strategy.
• Focus on style, fit, and fabric in seasonal product development.
• Attend fit sessions, work with the Design Director to make comments, and communicate with vendors.
• Adapt designs based on feedback for finalization.
• Ensure deliverables meet budget and time commitments without compromising design excellence.
• Deliver product designs with flawless execution, achieving goals with speed, agility, and acute attention to detail.
• Identify and implement new ideas from both internal and external sources, and conduct ongoing competitor research and trend analysis.
• Provide reliable and responsible support to the Design Director.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Lead or participate in all stages of development.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design.
• 10+ years of experience in women's streetwear.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong skills in developing novelty graphics and embellishments across a wide range of products, including denim, woven, and cut & sew knit items.
• In-depth knowledge of women's fit and construction for both tops and bottoms.
• Effective communication with vendors.
• Excellent taste level with a great eye for trends.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Passion and a creative mindset.
• Strong organizational skills.

Pay

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 USD
