Senior ETL Administrator
Job Summary
Designs, creates, administers, and monitors business process data extracts for data that needs to be extracted, transformed, and loaded into the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) or similar repository. Troubleshoots and resolves ETL and other data movement related issues. Aggregates data from multiple sources into a data warehouse or other data repository to ensure EDW remains operational. Maintains a detailed knowledge base of the underlying data and data structures, and manages data content, current and potential future users, and the quality and integrity of data within the EDW. Works collaboratively with other Data Science team members, with Database Administrators and with the business unit stakeholders to design ETL data-related solutions.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Enforces data governance policies, access controls, and data security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain data compliance.
- Provides support for the SQL Server-based Data Warehouse ETL processes as needed.
- Creates, configures, deploys, and maintains ETL ingestion processes for collecting and/or aggregating data into a database, data warehouse or other multidimensional database structures.
- Performs root cause analysis on processes to resolve production issues related to the support of ETL applications.
- Maintains a detailed knowledge base of the underlying data and data structures, and manages data content, current and potential future users, and the quality and integrity of data within the EDW.
- Works with the database administrators to configure, deploy, and maintain data warehouse or other multidimensional database servers.
- Uses SQL data warehouse tools to maintain integrity between various Langley FCU disparate systems.
- Implements ETL procedures for all new data ingestions into the Enterprise Data Warehouse and maintains effective awareness of all production activities according to required standards and provides support to all existing applications.
- Creates supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flow.
- Creates plans and tests files and scripts for data warehouse testing, ranging from unit to integration testing.
- Maintains confidentiality, availability, accuracy, and integrity of all data during extraction, transformation, and loading.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree from a college or university specializing in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related field; or equivalent combination of working experience/training.
- Five years of experience with Database systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) related to data warehousing concepts and methodologies is required.
- Five years of experience in ETL development and administration with expertise in one or more ETL tools is required such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SSIS, etc.
- At least one year of knowledge related to data modeling and data integration best practices is required.
- At least one year of knowledge related to data governance, data security, and data quality principles is required.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve ETL-related issues.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new tools quickly.
- Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment working with Configuration Management tools (i.e., Bitbucket, Bamboo, GitHub) preferred.
- Microsoft certification relevant to the database administration field strongly preferred.

Working Conditions
Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern. Work outside of those core business hours is likely to occur in this role, including evenings and weekends.
