Responsibilities
- Help build the company’s portfolio by producing timely, accurate, and thorough estimates for projects in Colorado and Wyoming.
- Lead all estimates up to $20M, compiling accurate bid documents including take-offs and summaries of materials, fixtures, and equipment.
- Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs, manage multiple, simultaneous projects, and possess Process Piping expertise.
- Solicit and evaluate multiple subcontractor and equipment quotes, understand construction field conditions, and prepare schedules.
- Read and understand drawings, specifications, and bid documents, accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor, and understand construction field conditions and project schedules.
- Skilled in Quickpen / Autobid software, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, responsible for preparing bid proposals in an attractive manner to general contractors and owners.
Requirements
- 10+ years estimator experience in Plumbing, HVAC, and Process Piping of Institutional, Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Brewery, Healthcare, and Industrial projects.
- Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects.
- Process Piping expertise, including plan layouts, schematics, P & IDs, and specifications.
- Plumbing, HVAC, and Sheet metal knowledge a plus.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor.
- Understanding of construction field conditions, means and methods, and project schedules.
