Responsibilities

• Review construction plans, specifications, and traffic control requirements
• Develop detailed cost estimates including labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and logistics
• Prepare and submit bids for ADOT, county, municipal, and private construction projects
• Coordinate with vendors, trade partners, branch managers, and operations
• Attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate with contractors to clarify project requirements
• Track submitted bids and follow up with contractors to maintain relationships and gather market feedback

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working with numbers
• Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking when reviewing plans and specifications, identifying scope risks, and developing competitive bid strategies
• Road construction operations or estimating experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and contractors

Qualifications

• 3+ years in estimating (Preferred)
