Senior Estimator

About the role
The Senior Estimator will analyze construction documents, develop comprehensive cost estimates for projects of varying sizes, and represent the company in pre-bid meetings and stakeholder interactions. This role collaborates closely with owners, construction teams, and project managers to ensure accurate, timely estimates and smooth project transitions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret engineering contracts, plans, and specifications to create detailed construction estimates for small and large projects.
- Complete estimate take-offs within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Accurately define project requirements and obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Attend pre-bid meetings to ensure a complete scope of work.
- Assist in determining project resource requirements aligned with company goals.
- Provide liaison support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure submitted estimates are as accurate and complete as possible.
- Deliver timely project turnover documentation from Estimating to Project Management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and math skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead teams, organize multiple projects, and solve problems with minimal supervision.
- Technical skills necessary for project engineering.
Accubid experience is a plus.

Work Environment
