Senior Estimating Manager

We are partnering with a leading investor developer in NYC to attract an experienced Senior Estimating Manager to join their New York office in a leadership capacity. This role is central to cost estimating and will play an integral part in future major high-end commercial real estate projects, collaborating with the preconstruction team and office heads.

About the role

You will serve as the firm’s lead on all estimating matters, providing strategic insight, setting standards, and minimizing risks. Responsibilities include quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and improving financial forecasting to limit risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct cost estimating for high-end commercial real estate projects.
• Act as the focal point for all estimating-related decisions, standards, and future strategy.
• Perform quantity take-offs and develop cost estimates.
• Collaborate with the preconstruction team to limit financial risks and enhance forecasting.

Requirements

• Relevant bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Extensive senior-level experience in cost estimating within the build and construction sector.
• Experience in commercial residential projects.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods, procurement strategies, and project delivery models.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and estimating software.

Pay

Competitive salary in the range of $200,000 – $250,000 per annum, plus benefits package.
