Senior Escrow Officer (Remote, based out of Colorado)

About the role

Clever Closings is looking for a dedicated Senior Escrow Officer to join our Closings Team in a remote position. This role involves managing the end-to-end multi-state processes of real estate transactions, ensuring smooth and professional interactions with all parties involved.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a professional closing experience, including obtaining appropriate signatures, handling funds, and meeting all title and lender requirements, across multiple states.
• Review contracts, title commitments, and lender instructions to prepare settlement statements and necessary real estate documents for closing.
• Hold and disburse funds according to escrow instructions, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
• Maintain open lines of communication with all parties involved in the real estate transaction throughout the life cycle of the file. Provide timely and accurate feedback to business leaders to support continuous improvement.
• Prepare documents for recording to ensure legal compliance and proper documentation.
• Oversee policy issuance to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with Realtors and industry professionals to continuously grow business opportunities.
• Assist in the development of team members by mentoring Assistant, fostering a collaborative and skilled team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience handling all aspects of escrow and title processes across multiple states.
• Demonstrates complete knowledge and ability to handle a Real Estate transaction from receipt of contract to funding and disbursement.
• Solid knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, legal documents and real property law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent people skills.
• Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to job.
• Demonstrated superior customer service skills.
• Ability to keep learning and stay abreast of Real Estate trends.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts (e.g., statistical inferences), the fundamentals of geometry, and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios to practical situations.
• Excellent computer skills in Closing Software (Qualia), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel,), Adobe Suite and Google Workplace.

Pay

Salary: $70-85k base, total compensation: $110,000-$130,000
