Senior Equity Analyst - Refiners & Downstream Energy

A fundamentally driven investment firm with a concentrated equity strategy is seeking to add a Senior Equity Analyst to its investment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-conviction investment ideas across the refining and downstream energy universe, conducting deep fundamental research, and working closely with senior investment professionals to drive portfolio performance.Responsibilities:Perform bottom-up fundamental analysis on refiners and related downstream energy businessesBuild and maintain detailed financial and valuation modelsConduct industry research, channel checks, and management meetingsDevelop differentiated investment theses and communicate recommendations directly to decision-makersMonitor portfolio holdings and identify new investment opportunities within the sectorCollaborate closely with the broader investment team on portfolio construction and risk managementQualifications:5-15+ years of buy-side investing experienceDeep expertise covering refiners and downstream energy companiesStrong financial modeling, valuation, and investment research capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to generate actionable investment ideasExperience operating within a rigorous, fundamentals-driven investment environmentBachelor's degree required; advanced degrees and/or CFA preferred
