Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead and subject matter expert for electromechanical production equipment.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures; define and implement corrective actions.
- Work from drawings, diagrams, technical manuals, and schematics to perform advanced troubleshooting and repair.
- Oversee and perform calibrations of production equipment; ensure accurate PM and calibration records are maintained.
- Develop, review, and revise PM and calibration specifications to drive continuous improvement in equipment performance and reliability.
- Lead and coordinate equipment preventive maintenance activities; evaluate effectiveness and adjust intervals as needed.
- Identify, propose, and implement equipment modifications and process improvements to increase uptime and reliability.
- Cook up and coordinate with Engineering, Facilities, and vendors for specialist advice and arrange for service support where necessary.
- Create, update, and implement SOPs, equipment operation specifications, and PM/calibration procedures.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to Equipment Maintenance Technician I and II team members.
- Lead or actively participate in cross-functional project teams as a technical resource.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of equipment maintenance experience in a semiconductor or precision manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic fundamentals; ability to read and interpret system schematics.
- Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex equipment and process interactions.
- Experience with 5S methodology; ability to champion lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
- Practical experience applying structured problem-solving methods (e.g., root cause analysis, PFMEA).
- Strong ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and lead others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with all levels of manufacturing and management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office® software suite.
- Familiarity and understanding of OSHA and any other applicable regulations.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, precision measurement instruments, and electronic test equipment.
