Senior Epic Informaticist
Job Summary
Responsible for analyzing, developing, documenting, and supporting clinical content, workflows, and system configuration to advance clinical operations at Mass General Brigham Health Plan. This role will play a key part in the organization's Epic implementation efforts, serving as a clinical informatics subject matter expert and partnering with operational, clinical, and technical teams to design, build, test, and optimize Epic functionality. Particular emphasis will be placed on supporting Epic Security and Link modules to ensure appropriate access, workflow efficiency, data integrity, and operational readiness for Clinical Team users. The Clinical Informaticist Principal will develop and oversee project plans and schedules, monitor build and implementation progress, and lead remediation, enhancement, and demand initiatives. As the subject matter expert for assigned clinical domains, this individual will provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and leadership to other informatics specialists while driving adoption of best practices and supporting successful delivery of enterprise clinical technology initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Manages the process for content development, standardization, coordination, maintenance, and archiving.
- Manages and coordinates the gathering and synthesis of current clinical content, as well as the development of new clinical content.
- Manages content development and helps to inform and build activities between and among work groups.
- Leads assigned work groups and facilitates interactions and communication to arrive at solutions for content development and management.
- Provides coordination and direction to complete assigned clinical content tasks, produce required deliverables, track and resolve issues, and meet relevant project milestones according to the established timeline.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred. Experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
License/Certifications
- Epic Certification (Security, Link, Healthy Planet, and Ambulatory) highly preferred.
Experience
- At least 5-7 years of experience in clinical informatics required.

- Proficient with standard office technologies and software.
- Strategic and able to quickly understand and discuss situations and challenges.

Pay Range
$117,707.20 - $171,204.80/Annual Grade 8
