About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist to lead environmental investigations involving mold, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality (IAQ), and other environmental hazards. This individual will serve as a technical subject matter expert responsible for developing sampling strategies, interpreting laboratory results, authoring technical reports, and designing remediation and asbestos abatement protocols. The ideal candidate is a highly technical environmental professional who can evaluate unique environmental situations, determine potential concerns, develop appropriate testing protocols, interpret findings, and clearly communicate recommendations to clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental assessments and investigations related to mold, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, water damage, and other environmental concerns.
- Develop site-specific testing and sampling protocols based on project conditions and client needs.
- Interpret laboratory results and provide technical recommendations and remediation strategies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, risk assessments, and client deliverables.
- Support complex property damage, contamination, and environmental exposure investigations.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership with the opportunity to grow into a management role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience performing environmental consulting, testing, and assessment work.
- Extensive experience with mold, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, and environmental sampling methodologies.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, investigation protocols, and remediation practices.
- Exceptional technical writing and report development skills.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to evaluate unique environmental situations, identify potential hazards, and develop effective testing and investigation strategies.

- Base salary: $80,000–$90,000
- Annual bonus: approximately $30,000–$40,000
