Senior Environmental Practice Leader

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Environmental Practice Leader to join our team in Redmond, WA, Seattle, WA, Tacoma, WA, Vancouver, WA, Boise, ID or Portland, OR.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities with both new and existing clients, and preparing related proposals.
- Actively participating in and leading the strategic planning and implementation efforts for the Northwest region.
- Overseeing and managing complex technical projects, utilizing your expertise to help WSP expand its practices and capabilities through industry leadership, business development, and client management.
- Directing multiple remediation and restoration projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and schedule expectations while maintaining high-quality standards on deliverables.
- Overseeing the comprehensive delivery of remediation and restoration projects, including planning, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management.
- Building and maintaining trust-based relationships with clients, regulatory personnel, and other project stakeholders.
- Effectively managing and nurturing client relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Mentoring staff in technical, consulting, and business development skills.
- Leading and supporting recruitment efforts for key staff hires to grow our practice in the Northwest.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrology, or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of post-education environmental consulting experience.
- Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients.
- Prominent leadership skills and experience in managing complex projects and teams.
- Experience managing the overall delivery of projects, including project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management.
- Detailed understanding of soil and groundwater remediation regulations.
- Detailed understanding of Washington and Oregon regulations.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel within region and occasionally outside region.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in the same fields.
- Washington, Oregon, and/or Idaho professional registration (e.g., P.E., P.G.), or ability and willingness to obtain.
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers.

Pay
Expected Salary (all locations): $133,200 - $171,000
