Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage environmental compliance programs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee hazardous waste management activities, including waste identification, manifests, inventories, vendor coordination and disposal.
• Manage air permitting and compliance, to include permit applications, renewals, recordkeeping, and emissions tracking.
• Prepare and submit EPA Tier II reports, including chemical inventory management and coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary environmental compliance subject matter expert for internal teams and external regulators.
• Support EHS programs across the company both at the corporate and individual business level.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Develop, update, and maintain EHS policies, procedures and training materials.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure EHS considerations are being integrated into projects.
• Maintain EHS metrics, dashboards, and documentation for internal and external reporting.
• Aid in the review and interpretation of existing and proposed EHS regulations to determine applicability and impact on operations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and applicable regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience in EHS.
• EHS experience with a strong emphasis on environmental compliance.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Experience in reviewing and analyzing federal, state, local and international health and safety regulations and developing appropriate compliance strategies.
• The ability to obtain a Government clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Government clearance.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus.
• Project management and execution skills.
