Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage environmental compliance programs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee hazardous waste management activities, including waste identification, manifests, inventories, vendor coordination and disposal.
- Manage air permitting and compliance, to include permit applications, renewals, recordkeeping, and emissions tracking.
- Prepare and submit EPA Tier II reports, including chemical inventory management and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary environmental compliance subject matter expert for internal teams and external regulators.
- Support EHS programs across the company both at the corporate and individual business level.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Develop, update, and maintain EHS policies, procedures and training materials.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure EHS considerations are being integrated into projects.
- Maintain EHS metrics, dashboards, and documentation for internal and external reporting.
- Aid in the review and interpretation of existing and proposed EHS regulations to determine applicability and impact on operations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and applicable regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience in EHS.
- EHS experience with a strong emphasis on environmental compliance.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Experience in reviewing and analyzing federal, state, local and international health and safety regulations and developing appropriate compliance strategies.
- The ability to obtain a Government clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Government clearance.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus.
- Project management and execution skills.
