Senior Environmental Engineer - Site Investigations, Due Diligence, and Regulatory Compliance
About the role
A senior level environmental engineering professional responsible for leading complex or unique projects requiring innovative investigation techniques. Responsible for preparing proposals and cost estimates, developing understanding of project risks, ensuring quality standards, leading safety efforts, providing technical direction and training, assisting in policy updates, participating in marketing strategies, and serving as a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
Responsibilities
- Conducting and reporting of Phase I, II, and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Knowledge of PADEP's Land Recycling (Act 2) and Storage Tank Programs
- Experience with environmental site characterizations
- Experience with PADEP Clean Fill Evaluation and Management of Fill Policies
- Preparation of proposals and cost estimates
- Development of understanding and awareness of project-related risks
- Continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects
- Ensuring consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery
- Leading safety efforts for team and promoting safety practices
- Assisting in establishing and updating current policies/procedures for technical projects
- Providing technical direction and training to less experienced professional staff
- Participating in the development of marketing strategies and presentations of qualifications to clients
- Serving as a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer
Requirements
Successful experience with conducting and reporting of Phase I, II, and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), knowledge of PADEP's Land Recycling (Act 2) and Storage Tank Programs, experience with environmental site characterizations, experience with PADEP Clean Fill Evaluation and Management of Fill Policies.
