Responsibilities
- Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures, then deliver a plan for a small element of a change management program with guidance from a project/program manager.
- Work within established knowledge management systems to deliver preset outcomes for an area of responsibility.
- Elicit complex business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
- Conduct complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan.
- Develop product specifications and design test procedures and standards.
- Help develop procedures for an area of the organization and monitor their implementation.
- Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.
- Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.
- Manage relationships with small clients while also helping senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related Engineering field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Tennessee required.
- At least 10 years of experience in soil and groundwater assessment and remediation preferred.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulation and compliance.
- Proven excellence at all stages of the project life cycle, from preparing bids, project strategy development, to project deliverables.
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER training.
Qualifications
- Must reside in the state of Tennessee.

- Technical leadership on contamination investigation, remediation, and environmental compliance projects.
- Problem-solving skills, including identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems to brief and on budget.
- Project management skills, including managing a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.
- Client relationship management skills, including managing relationships with small clients and larger key clients and customers.
