Senior Environmental Engineer / Geologist

About the role

Enhance and support ESP Associates' environmental consulting team in the Carolinas. Manage projects, budgets, and clients, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage clients, projects, and budgets for small and large complex sites
• Schedule and coordinate project activities
• Mentor and train junior staff
• Prepare technical proposals and reports
• Ensure project technical success and profitability
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Periodic out-of-town overnight travel may be required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field
• Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist license
• 10+ years of environmental project management experience
• Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
• Able to travel as needed (estimated 10% overnight travel)

Qualifications

• Proficiency with ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD, and Excel
• Expertise in field testing and sampling methodologies
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in due diligence, assessment, risk-based analysis, NEPA, Brownfields/VCC contracts, USTs, vapor intrusion assessment and mitigation, and hazardous materials evaluations
