Senior Enterprise Security Architect

About the role

Join our Enterprise Security Architect Team, a core part of the pre-sales solution engineering group. We collaborate across global business units, empowering and supporting peers while consulting with customers and prospects on advanced infrastructure security solutions. Help customers gain better visibility and security across their network estates by driving sales of our DDoS Mitigation suite, Security Posture Management, and DNS products. As a technical evangelist, you'll support customers in adopting our products and demonstrate their value to help close sales.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with direct and channel sales to educate customers on Akamai's infrastructure security products, including Prolexic.
• Support the technical pre-sales process for field teams and evangelize security solutions and services to customers.
• Collaborate with product management to identify evolving requirements and influence the security product roadmap.
• Engage with customers on demos, deep-dive technical conversations, and product trials to drive security sales.
• Stay nimble and grow with us as we bring new security products to market.

Requirements

• 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in networking, security, and pre-sales.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with customers across various levels.
• Self-starter with a passion for learning and embracing new technologies to grow your security pre-sales experience.
• Experience consulting with customers on their security strategy.

Pay

For US-based candidates, the base salary for this position ranges from $119,600 to $215,400 per year. Compensation is determined by relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location. Candidates outside the US will receive compensation that varies by region. The package may also include incentive compensation such as an annual bonus, equity awards, and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
