About the role
We have an immediate need for a Software Engineer specializing in infrastructure software and automated systems management. In this role, you will design, develop, sustain, and optimize system management infrastructure software and core services for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems operating in a Linux environment. You will automate deployment workflows, integrate datacenter infrastructure management platforms, and implement robust secrets management and identity controls across high-scale HPC networks.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, Finance/Economics, or a related discipline, plus 5+ years of specialized data analytics or financial intelligence experience.
- OR Master’s Degree in a related field, plus 3+ years of specialized analytical experience.
- OR High School Diploma / GED, plus 7+ years of hands-on intelligence analysis, financial tracking, and data discovery experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Skills
- Software Development & Scripting: Recent software development experience using Python, alongside advanced proficiency writing Bash scripts for system automation.
- Linux Expertise: Mastery of the Linux CLI, operating system internals, and standard Linux administration utilities.
- Automation Frameworks: Direct experience using Ansible for automated deployment, configuration management, and system orchestration.
- Secrets Management: Practical experience with secrets management solutions, specifically HashiCorp Vault.
- Containerization: Experience with container technologies such as Docker, PodMan, or containerd.
- DCIM & IAM Familiarity: Operational familiarity with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such as Netbox and Identity/Access Management (IAM) solutions like Keycloak.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD principles, workflows, and tools including GitLab CI and Jenkins.
- Version Control: Proficiency with the Git source control system.
Desired Skills
- Observability & Analytics: Familiarity with enterprise observability and telemetry platforms, such as Splunk.
- Agile Frameworks: Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.
- Agile Tooling: Practical experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence) for project tracking and technical documentation.

Pay
- Annual base salary range: $178,000-$210,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation.
- Starts with 4 weeks of Annual Leave plus 11 holidays, and an additional day of Annual Leave for each year you’re at the company.
- Flexibility to cash out annual leave hours, opt out of other Nyla benefits, and/or arrange for additional hours on contract (over 40 hrs/week).
- Option to earn 1.3 times your hourly rate once you work over 1880 hours on contract.
Leave
- Option to buy additional annual leave for a total of 6 weeks (up to 240 hours of leave plus 11 holidays).
- Includes paid anniversary leave.
