Senior Enrollment Services Specialist
About the Role
The Senior Enrollment Services Specialist assists with recruiting activities and pre-enrollment follow-up of students under the general supervision of a designated leader. This position represents Colorado Mountain College at campus and off-campus events, interacting with student inquiries, applicants, and current students. The role applies knowledge of programs, procedures, and policies to provide administrative support in student services functions such as registrar, student records, admissions, residence life, and financial aid.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates with Central Services Admissions on scheduling local high school visits and assists in recruiting local students.
- Works closely with other departments to onboard new students.
- Assists with the development and coordination of admissions processes and procedures.
- Engages in student recruiting and pre-enrollment follow-up, including phone and email communication with prospective students.
- Evaluates and processes admissions applications, including determining residency status.
- Coordinates communication with applicants via phone calls, emails, and mailings.
- Schedules and conducts campus tours and events to attract prospective students.
- Coordinates Campus Visit Days for prospective students and their guests.
- Coordinates new student orientations with faculty and staff.
- Plans and executes programs, projects, events, and special activities, including Career Services activities on campus.
- Provides front-line Financial Aid counseling, including FAFSA assistance, general financing options counseling, and support for FA Self-Serve.
- Assists with the coordination of Concurrent Enrollment testing, registration, and reporting.
- May serve as a lead for front desk staff, admissions aides, and/or supervise work-study students.
- Trains and oversees the campus Student Ambassador program.
- Performs clerical and technical support duties, prepares and submits reports, and assists in maintaining automated systems and data files.
- Serves on committees and acts as a backup for registration.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education and experience sufficient for the position, such as:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and two years of related work experience; or
- Associate’s Degree and three years of related work experience; or
- High School Diploma/GED and four years of related work experience or equivalent.
- Previous admissions and recruitment experience preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of standard administrative and business methods and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software; familiarity with Access, Publisher, Photoshop, and InDesign is beneficial.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well.
- Proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work cooperatively with internal and external parties.
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment.
- Commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities are preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must perform assigned duties within the State of Colorado and accurately report work location.
Working Conditions
- Constant sitting, occasional walking, standing, and driving.
- Occasional handling of objects, pushing/pulling.
- Frequent reaching with hands/arms and use of finger movements.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 lbs.
- Constant written and oral communication, with occasional analytical and calculation tasks.
- Daily use of a computer and standard office equipment; occasional driving.
- May require travel within the college district, altered work schedules, and/or occasional evening/weekend hours.
Pay
The hiring pay rate is $27.44 per hour. Colorado Mountain College utilizes a wage progression compensation model that accounts for a candidate’s skills and experience, with the final rate set commensurate with qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
