What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a team of engineers delivering cloud-based data platform services and enablement capabilities.
- Deliver scalable, secure, and self-service data services that support internal engineering teams.
- Guide technical design, architecture patterns, and engineering standards for platform services.
- Improve developer experience by simplifying service adoption and reducing friction.
- Partner with operations teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with engineering needs.
- Coach and develop engineers through feedback, career growth, and performance management.
Basic Qualifications
- 7 years of software or platform engineering experience, including 2 years leading an engineering team.
- 5 years of experience building and operating AWS-based data platforms, including Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, Amazon ElastiCache, or Amazon DocumentDB.
- 3+ years of experience guiding technical design, architecture, or engineering standards for distributed systems or data platforms.
- 2 years of leadership experience, including coaching engineers and delivering team outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience building self-service platforms with automation and standardized service offerings.
- 3 years of experience improving developer experience through onboarding, documentation, or training.
- 3 years of experience supporting production systems, including reliability or incident response practices.
- 3 years of experience using metrics to improve platform performance, adoption, or efficiency.
- Experience working with AWS NoSQL and distributed database technologies such as Amazon DynamoDB or Amazon Keyspaces.
