Senior Engineering Manager, Data

Location: San Francisco, CA – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation: $230,000 – $319,000 annually.

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Business Services environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-driven, data-centric initiatives to drive FinTech innovation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and high-quality data products
• Mentor and grow high-performing engineering teams, promoting a culture of excellence
• Establish urgency and direction for innovation and operational excellence
• Prioritize and resolve issues to maintain focus on impactful deliverables

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience leading Data Engineering teams
• Proven experience building scalable, AI-ready data platforms and trusted data products
• Strong collaboration skills with Product, Analytics, Data Science, and Marketing teams
• Experience in driving data quality, governance, CI/CD, and operational reliability
• Familiarity with Growth and Marketing data platforms, including attribution and funnels
• Proficiency with tech stack tools such as Spark, Snowflake, and dbt
