Senior Engineering Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Construct test sets and cable assemblies from schematics and assembly drawings, utilizing both hole and SMT technology.
• Maintain a clean, organized lab environment that provides a shared resource to lab technicians and engineers.
• Cookout routine calibration of electronic instruments, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Cookout coordination of external calibration for equipment that cannot be calibrated in-house.
• Cookout collaboration with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Read, implement, and provide feedback on electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Demonstrate proficiency with electrical lab tools to construct and assemble surface mount and through-hole technologies, aircraft harnesses, and test equipment.
• Demonstrate proficiency with machine shop tools such as drill presses and mills.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to lab technicians and engineers.
• Ensure compliance with ISO or AS9100 standards within the lab.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all lab equipment and activities.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronics, avionics, or a related field with a solid understanding of electronic circuit theory.
• Proficient in reading and editing schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong computer skills with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools.
• Previous experience as an electronics technician in an ISO or AS9100 facility is preferred.

Pay

$65,000 to $85,000 per year; salary commensurate with experience

Schedule

Monday through Friday, Office hours: 8:00 am to 4:45 p.m.
