- Translate product requirements and customer needs into thoughtful technical designs and implementation plans.
- Solve complex engineering problems involving architecture, performance, reliability, scalability, data, and integrations.
- Partner closely with Product and Design to shape solutions and deliver compelling customer experiences.
- Build software capable of performing reliably during high-traffic events, launches, and rapidly changing demand.
- Contribute actively to architecture discussions, technical designs, code reviews, and engineering planning.

- Ability to diagnose complex application and production problems using logs, metrics, tracing, and systematic troubleshooting.
- Strong technical judgment and an ability to make appropriate tradeoffs between delivery speed, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
- Experience collaborating effectively with product managers, designers, engineers, and other technical partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers.
Qualifications
- Experience with consumer-facing marketplaces, e-commerce, live streaming, social/community products, auctions, payments, or other high-traffic applications (Nice to Have).
- Experience with real-time communication or event-driven architectures (Nice to Have).
- Experience building applications that experience significant traffic spikes around launches or live events (Nice to Have).
